Time for Empowerment & Change: Self Advocates of indiana Conference

The next statewide meeting will be the SAI annual meeting. This will include elections for the
SAI Broad of Directors and officers. This meeting will be part of the SAI Conference on October 8-9
We hope you can join SAI for the entire conference, learning new skills, meeting new people, and
getting new ideas about Self-Advocacy! The flyer has more information. However, please note, if you do not attend the full conference, you may still attend just the Statewide meeting at no cost.



The SAI Annual Meeting and Elections will place on Tuesday October 8th from 2:00-3:30 at the Marten House Hotel (1801 W. 86th, Indianapolis Indiana 46260

To prepare for that, it's time to update your Self-Advocate Group information, pay your 2013-2014 $20 dues(or $5 for individuals), and complete your SAI Board of  Directors application for those of you interested in running for the board of directors.


Included in this packet are:

- SAI Election Application (including of broad member expectations and responsibilities
- The Election Application includes the Officer Application, for those if you interested in running for an officer position. It is recommended that officers serve on the Board of Directors ( Current or in the past ) for at least one year before running.
-SAI dues form 2013

Both of these are Due No Later Than 5pm On Thursday September 19
To the address below ( also included on the forms.) Please note: Only Chapters who have to paid for their 2013-2014 dues will be eligible to vote. if you are running for a seat with the board of directors, your Chapter must have updated dues (or you must have paid $ 5 Individuals dues).


Current Broad Members: Please note, some of your terms will expire in 2013. Meaning You will have to re-election if  you want to stay on the broad of directors. see the application for details.
