The Next Generation

I have been meeting wonderful, kind people at my work. I work at JC Penny’s on 86th and Michigan. At my work one of my regular customers comes in almost every day. She asked me if I had Down syndrome and I said yes. She further told me that she just had a child be born a couple weeks ago, and her child also has Down syndrome. We were talking for a while. When we got done, I went to get a business card from Down Syndrome Indiana. I keep these in my wallet. When I got the card my boss came out and I explain the whole thing. My boss and I walked out and my boss told my regular customer about how wonderful I am and I am there number one employee. Deb, my boss, reminded her of what her daughter will be capable of doing when she gets older. This is important because her daughter and anybody else is the next generation.
