Thursday, February 10 – Be in Indianapolis



10:00 am Visit your Legislators in the House of Representatives to deliver Valentines Cards (Location - Statehouse/Capitol Building beginning at 10)



We’ll have people at 9:30 to help you and the House is in session at 10:00 am



After your visit have lunch on your own (cafeteria located in the Indiana Government Building South building, lower level)



1:00 pm The Self Advocates of Indiana Statewide Meeting BEGINS

We have not yet heard which conference center room the meeting will be in the Indiana Government Building South building



Program - "After Talking With Your Legislator, What to do Next!"



2:00 pm Visit your Senators to deliver Valentines Cards (Location - Statehouse/Capitol Building, the Senate does not start until 1:30)



Everyone is asked to make Valentine’s Cards for their legislators before you come. We strongly recommend that you contact the legislators you have a Valentine for and set a time to meet with them before you come on February10th


Also Melody Cooper and Betty Williams will be visiting our U.S. Senators and Congressmen on February 16. Each Self Advocate Groups is asked to make 1 Valentine for each national legislator that can be hand delivered. Be sure to put your SA group’s name and location on the Valentine so that the elected officials knows who it’s from.



While the schedule hopefully will not change, the Legislature sometimes changes their schedule and we will keep everyone as up-to-date as possible. Our statewide meeting is for ALL Self-Advocates from around the state and all the Self- Advocate Groups.
